The HVACR Workforce Foundation identifies a shortage of more than 170,000 technicians in the US who are skilled in installing, maintaining, and repairing HVACR systems.
Through the program, students receive training in a state-of-the-art facility in Jasper and learn diagnostic techniques, the use of test equipment and principles of mechanics, electricity and electronics related to repair. Students who complete the program earn Bevill State and EPA Section 608 Refrigerant certifications, preparing them to take the State of Alabama HVACR Contractors exam.
The Spring 2022 class will run for 11 weeks from January through April, with students attending the Bevill State campus Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Enrollment is open to high school graduates or those 18 and older who are pursuing GED degrees. Scholarships are available, but the program has a limited number of seats.
