CRI helps bring vaccinations to Dalton

Dalton, Ga. – The Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) and its affiliated companies cooperated CRI vaccinationorganizations in the greater Dalton community to support vital vaccination efforts. CRI worked with industry members, local health organizations, state and local governments, and numerous volunteers – as well as the Latin American Association – to purchase vaccines for both carpet industry workers and the greater Dalton community.

“This public-private partnership demonstrates the strength of our community as organizations in our region work together to meet the vaccination challenge,” said Joe Yarbrough, president of CRI.

The concerted effort of flooring industry competitors and community organizations resulted in more than 5,000 vaccinations being administered at manufacturers’ factories in the Dalton area over the past two weeks. “CRI members worked together for the good of the community in this vaccine initiative,” said Yarbrough. “CRI is honored to work for the health and safety of our community members.”

Manufacturers and community organizations alike have taken steps to provide vaccines in a safe, professional and practical manner, CRI said. “As we approach the end of the pandemic, our community leaders, organizations and businesses remain diligent in protecting the community and protecting the public and workforce,” said Yarbrough.
