Dallas, Texas-Daltile launched its new Emergent collection of porcelain tiles that combines the chic look of oxidized metal with a concrete look. The made-in-the-USA product is suitable for floor, wall and countertop applications and is available nationwide, according to the company.
“Emergent is a visual metallic concrete look, so from a design standpoint it combines the simplicity of the rough texture of concrete with the luxury of a metallic finish,” said Laura Grilli, director of product development at Daltile Corporation. “The uniqueness of the visual is enhanced by a contemporary color palette and semi-polished shimmering surface, creating a design element that simultaneously adds intimacy and sophistication to a space.”
Emergent has a weathered metallic look in four metallic shades: aluminum, tin, titanium and iron. The distressed shades are available in contemporary, large format tile sizes of 12 x 24, 24 x 24 and 24 x 48. A lappato finish gives the tiles a semi-gloss appearance that enhances the authenticity of the metallic look. A trendy cube mosaic comes in all colors, lending dimension and adding intrigue to a space. The coordinating trim package includes a cove base and a round toe.
Unlike true oxidized metal that has very obvious installation and performance limitations, Emergent offers all the benefits of porcelain tile while still providing the sleek look of weathered, weathered metal, according to Daltile. Emergent is waterproof, dent-free, scratch-resistant, stain-resistant, low-maintenance, durable and easy to clean.
