Dantherm changes owners – Cooling Post

GERMANY/DENMARK: German private equity firm Deutsche Beteiligungs AG (DBAG) has acquired a majority stake in Danish HVAC manufacturer Dantherm.

Majority shares were acquired from Procuritas, the Swedish private equity firm that bought the company in 2016 for €22 million. DBAG will invest approximately €28 million, with Dantherm’s management team retaining a stake in the company.

Founded in 1958 and headquartered in Skive, Dantherm supplies telecom refrigeration, dehumidification units, ventilation systems and mobile heating and cooling units for military and humanitarian field camps.

Since its acquisition by Procuritas in 2016, Dantherm’s revenue has grown by approximately 30% annually, reaching €148 million in 2020. In that time, Dantherm has acquired nearly 20 companies.

“We want to support Dantherm in pursuing its organic growth and buy-and-build strategy,” announced DBAG board member Jannick Hunecke at the signing of the contract. “The market in Europe remains very fragmented, which gives us the opportunity to expand our product portfolio and regional market coverage through acquisitions.” DBAG says it sees further potential for value enhancement through greater integration of its recently acquired businesses Judi Slot Online Jackpot Terbesar.

Dantherm operates three major production facilities in Denmark, Italy and the UK and employs approximately 600 people. With 30%, the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) is responsible for the largest part of the turnover. Another 20% is generated in the Nordic countries. Dantherm’s products are distributed in more than 50 countries worldwide.
