TerraSol Energies has selected iron power battery manufacturer ESS to provide an energy storage system for a commercial site in Pennsylvania. ESS’s Energy Warehouse system will integrate with solar PV as part of a microgrid to reduce electricity and backup power demand for Sycamore International, an Information Technology Asset Disposition (ITAD) company with a focus on data security.

We have excluded lithium ion batteries and other flow battery chemicals due to toxicity and cost. ESS’s iron-based power battery provides the right combination of safety and durability with long asset life to match the expected life of our solar energy system.”
Commercial and industrial (C&I) energy consumers routinely face high demand costs based on peak periods, in addition to general energy costs.
