Kenneth Noland Sharp, Sr. of Rossville, Georgia, formerly of Harrison, Tennessee, died on Tuesday, September 21, 2021.
He was born and raised in East Chattanooga and graduated from Kirkman High School. Kenneth was a co-founder of Chamberlain Avenue Baptist Church and later joined Silverdale Baptist Church, where he served as a messenger and greeter. He was a member of the small group Greg Bolton.
He was a veteran of the United States Army. Kenneth retired from Plumbing and Steamfitters Local 43 after 38 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Vista Sharp; siblings, Carl, CL and Raymond Sharp, Jo Ann Newman and Jean Parton.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie (Clark) Sharp; three children, Noland Sharp, Jr., Doug Sharp, and Kassandra Chapman; six grandchildren; two stepchildren, Dennis (Gail) Norwood and Lee Ann (Dale) Smith.
The family will be hosting friends at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road on Wednesday, September 29 from 10 a.m. to noon.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM in the funeral home chapel under the direction of Rev. Tony Walliser. Burial with military honors will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery. Face covering and social distancing are requested.
