LOVE Island’s latest bombshell, Danny Bibby, has apologized after getting involved in a race.
The 25-year-old plumber had used the n-word in a historic post on social media.
In a statement tonight, he said: “I would like to take the time to apologize to anyone who may have taken offense at my inappropriate comment. I never meant anything malicious by this comment.
“I’m not a racist person and it’s unacceptable language and ignorance. I didn’t mean it insulting and feel like I really learned from my mistakes and will never use that word again. I’m a nice loving person and hopefully you get that featured in the show.”
Fans had been asking for Danny to be removed from the villa since seeing the abusive slur in a comment he made on Instagram in 2019.
Earlier today, Danny’s father apologized for his son’s n-word post, insisting “he’s not racist, but this was a mistake”.
Ricky defended his son, insisting he “doesn’t have a racist bone in his body”.
Ricky said: “Danny doesn’t have a racist bone in his body and there was no racist intent with this post.
“While it was not done maliciously, it was a mistake. I sincerely apologize on his behalf for the offense that this wording may have caused. That would never have been his intention.”
He also showed his support in Danny’s Instagram comments, writing: “Daddy loves your son xxx smash it💥💥💥”

It comes as eagle-eyed fans combed through his Instagram and found the comment.
In a photo of Danny posing in a bold leaf-pattern shirt while on vacation, a friend noted “Champ” and a fisted emoji.
Danny replied: “My n****”.
The exchange took place 85 weeks ago in November 2019, when he was 23 years old.
A Love Island fan noted the use of the offensive slur and added last night: “I would remove this”.
Whoever manages Danny’s account did so quickly – initially deleting the comment, before completely deleting the post.
However, a similar image posted by the new Islander remains live, and is inundated with comments from shocked Love Island viewers.

One wrote: “Racist check” alongside a sick emoji, while many others tagged the show’s official social media account, begging producers to kick Danny out.
Fans have also taken to Twitter to demand Danny’s removal, with some even revealing they’ve complained to Ofcom about the taint.
Another said: “Sorry but the new boy Danny is racist and they let our queen KAZ GO ON A DATE WITH HIMMMMM???? Sorry but throw the casting crew and the directors in the trash.”
A third shared a screenshot of their Ofcom confirmation, adding: “We demand that racist islander Danny be taken off the show immediately.”
Another agreed: “Does anyone have the Ofcom link? I’m reporting Danny urgently”.
Danny is about to enter the famous villa on tonight’s show, with yesterday’s episode ending when single Kaz got a text to say she’d been picked for a date with the tattooed hunk.
