PowerMarket launched its new website, which strives to provide the most trusted marketplace for people to purchase their power from local sources, such as local solar. Users will experience a redesigned marketplace of clean energy projects to help them select and apply for a local project in minutes, along with updated news, team and FAQ pages. On the homepage, users will also see a unique banner image and a list of partners tailored to their local geographic region.
“When subscribers see the impact community solar has on local organizations and jobs, they become extremely proud,” said Eric Dahnke, Co-Founder and CEO. “We honor that sense of pride by playing a prominent role in the communities we work in, our partner organizations and the stories of the people in them. Our commitment to building the leading clean energy software platform for customer acquisition, billing and management takes us one step closer to helping connect every utility account in the US with cleaner, cheaper energy alternatives. “
As of this rebrand, PowerMarket has been operating nearly 300 megawatts of solar, small hydro and fuel cell projects in the community and employing 24 people at the same time last year, up from 13. It is positioned for the next expected growth phase as more states like most recently New Mexico, launch policies that support solar energy development for the community.
