NUTLEY, NJ – The roof was recently raised at the Nutley VFW – literally.
Earlier this month, PB Roofing teamed up with roofing manufacturer GAF to undertake a major renovation at Nutley VFW’s banquet hall.
The project involved a full restoration of the existing roof over the banquet hall and a complete replacement of the canopy over the main entrance. GAF donated all the necessary roofing materials, while PB Roofing provided the installation work.
According to a press release, the donation was well-deserved:
“Each year, VFW and Auxiliary members donate nearly nine million hours to community service projects, relief efforts and local VA facilities. In the first half of 2020 alone, the VFW Unmet Needs program helped more than 270 veterans and military families become homeless. are or go without basic needs during military deployment or transition to the civilian workforce.”
The partnership was part of GAF’s social impact initiative, “GAF Community Matters”, and PB Roofing’s “PB Purpose”, a program dedicated to serving the local community.
“We have embarked on a mission to help the public and we are proud of the impact this project will have on our experienced community,” said John Peck, founder of PB Roofing. “We are grateful to GAF for their collaboration.”
