XGS acquires 7 Hills Transport

7 hillsChattanooga, Tenn.—Aterian Investment Partners (Aterian), a private equity firm, through its portfolio company Xpress Global Systems, (XGS), has acquired 7 Hills Transportation (7 Hills), an asset-based carrier headquartered in Cartersville, Georgia. acquisition is XGS’ first since Aterian’s investment in December 2018.

During the first half of the year, XGS broke company records in safety, operations and service, the company said. With the strategic acquisition, XGS has found a partner to continue its accelerated growth and deliver value to its customers, XGS added. The acquisition also enables the company to increase capacity and resources in Texas while driving innovation, efficiency and service as the merged teams share their industry knowledge, the company said.
